United Conservative Leader Jason Kenney has issued a statement following the nomination of Nicholas Milliken as the party’s candidate in Calgary-Currie for the 2019 provincial election:
“Today more than 680 United Conservative members in Calgary-Currie voted to choose their candidate for the next election from amongst five great contestants.
“I would like to congratulate Nicholas Milliken on winning this hotly contested race.
“Nicholas is a husband, father, and business owner, and he has spent much of his life giving back to his community through charity and volunteerism. Nicholas’ background as a lawyer will be a huge asset to the United Conservative team as we work to present Albertans with a common-sense alternative to the NDP. I am pleased to welcome Nicholas as the United Conservative candidate in Calgary-Currie.
“I would also like to thank Amoriza Gunnink, Bettina Pierre-Gilles, Terry Devries, Dan Morrison, and their teams for their participation in the democratic process and dedication to our movement.”
