United Conservative Leader Jason Kenney has issued a statement following the nomination of Jordan Walker as the party’s candidate in Sherwood Park for the 2019 provincial election:
“Today, more than 690 United Conservative members in Sherwood Park cast ballots for their preferred candidate for the next election from amongst four great contestants.
“I would like to congratulate Jordan Walker on winning this highly competitive race.
“Jordan is a committed conservative with a strong record of contribution to the growth of the party in Sherwood Park. Jordan was one of the founding members of the local UCP constituency association and was an active volunteer during our unity efforts. He holds a bachelor and a master’s degree and is currently employed in the Alberta public service. Jordan’s experience in both the public and private sectors and his understanding of the issues most important to the people of Sherwood Park make him a valuable member of the United Conservative team as we seek to defeat the NDP, reignite the Alberta economy and get our province back on track. I am pleased to welcome Jordan as the United Conservative candidate in Sherwood Park.
“I would also like to thank Maureen Gough, Sean Kenny, Len Thom, and their teams for their participation in the democratic process and dedication to our movement.”
