More than 3,000 cast vote in Cardston-Siksika UCP nomination

United Conservative Leader Jason Kenney has issued the following statement regarding the nomination of Joseph Schow in the new constituency of Cardston-Siksika, after a total of 3,426 of ballots were cast:

“I would like to congratulate Joseph Schow on his hard-fought nomination victory tonight in Cardston-Siksika.

“Joseph’s long-standing commitment to public service, and the promotion of strong conservative values, will be huge asset to our team as we prepare to fight the 2019 election. At 34 years of age, Joseph is part of a new generation of conservative leadership in Alberta. It is exciting to see so many young people from across the province getting involved in our party, and in the democratic process.

“This hotly contested nomination race, which saw thousands cast their ballot, is yet another sign of the tremendous momentum the United Conservative Party has been gaining across the province and I thank all the members for their participation.”
