Darrell Komick

President

Biography

ALBERTA FIRST
Darrell Komick, a prominent Calgary-based entrepreneur and conservative in Alberta, embodies values deeply rooted in local sustainability and grassroots governance, encapsulated in the ethos of “Farm to Table: People to Legislature.”

“I’m in the race to be UCP Provincial President to encourage and support Party leadership for the unity of our members. I believe we are a party whose members support exchanging ideas, thinking freely and making decisions which put their families and Alberta First”.

As the founder of Fresh & Local Market + Kitchens, he champions farm-to-table principles by connecting Alberta consumers directly with local producers, chefs, and sustainable ingredients—promoting self-reliant community economies, locally raised food like grass-fed beef and seasonal veggies, and reducing reliance on distant supply chains to foster economic resilience and environmental stewardship.

On the political front, as President of the United Conservative Party (UCP) Calgary-Lougheed Constituency Association—where he recently received the Exceptional Constituency Association President award at the UCP AGM—Komick advocates for “people to legislature,” emphasizing direct citizen involvement in policy-making, fiscal conservatism through frameworks like “The Value of Freedom,” Alberta sovereignty to counter federal overreach.

His philosophy of limited government, personal freedoms, and principled grassroots connection is the strongest leadership to bring the voice of members to the Alberta Government.
