My name is Gordon Reynen, and I’d like to be your candidate for Board Secretary.  After completing college and obtaining my CMA (now CPA) accounting designation, I worked for Budget Car and Truck Rentals of Edmonton as Director of Finance and Administration.  For over 20 years, I was both Corporate Secretary and Recording Secretary for several operating and holding companies in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

I became involved in politics in 2016, after the NDP defeated the PC’s.  I’ve spent 8+ years with 3 different UCP CA boards:  as CFO, as VP-Membership, as VP-Policy and as Local Candidate Nomination Committee (LCNC) Chair twice.  I’ve also been on the Party Policy and Governance Committee (PPGC) for 5 years, including 2 as Chair of the Governance Sub-Committee.  One of the Board Secretary’s responsibilities is to be a member of the PPGC.

Having retired in early 2024, I will have plenty of time to devote to the duties of being the Board Secretary.

I’m confident that my education, working career, 9 year UCP volunteer history, and time available will suit me well in my efforts as Board Secretary to continue to make the UCP Alberta’s government.
