Jill Didow

Regional Director - Edmonton

Biography

I grew up in rural northern Alberta when the UCP won the election; I proudly posted on social media “I have never been more proud to be a born and raised rural Alberta girl”. Because it was thanks to rural Alberta we formed a UCP government. However, I have lived in Edmonton for the past 40+ years so I am now a true Edmontonian. I want our city to prosper and thrive, and I believe we can do it with a UCP government.

Prior to my retirement, I worked in the not-for-profit sector all my life. I understand board meetings, policies, volunteerism, and strategic planning. Being retired, I will have the time to commit to attending meetings of the Constituency Associations and to be responsive to their needs. I will work with the UCP Executive Director to establish ACTIVE CA’s in Edmonton and work to share information and facilitate regular communications. I want to work with our CA’s to make us stronger and even more united. I currently sit on my Glenora Association and we need to work to turn Edmonton BLUE.

I have lived in this Province during the abundant times, where jobs were a plenty and costs lower and I want to help our Province in some small way to get back to those times.

I look forward to seeing everyone in Red Deer to attend this ever so important AGM. Let’s do our part to ensure that we keep this AMAZING Province we are so lucky to call home, STRONG AND FREE!
