I am from Medicine Hat, married to a great wife, we have two wonderful adult children and two best friend puppers.  I was a power engineer and a reservist.

I have been blessed to work with a great group of Albertans who helped elect the Premier twice and her flanking MLA in Cypress-Medicine Hat.

This group known as the Black Hats developed a policy to affirm our God given rights and freedoms for all Albertans.  This policy was passed at the 2023 AGM and is found in the UCP Member Policy Declaration at 403.1(e-f).

The Black Hats then provided a solution to satisfy the policy and briefed the Government of Alberta for and the Party.  The Party Board supported a special Resolution for the 2024 AGM to support the Black Hats proposed Bill of Rights, Freedoms and Responsibilities that had inalienable rights for Albertans.

The Black Hats continue to push for a proper Alberta Bill of Rights as the Federal Government is only weeks away from passing Bills C-2, C-8 and C-9, which will strip Canadians of their rights to privacy, speech and access to the Internet.  As John Carpay stated recently “Canada will be a police state by Christmas if Parliament passes bills C-2, C-8, and C-9 in their current form. Our freedoms are fragile.”

I have had the privilege of speaking in halls across Alberta the last two years, advocating for rights and freedoms; for a proper Alberta Bill of Rights and for Alberta Independence.  We have a beautiful Province and great people who can build a fine nation in Alberta.
