In many conservative circles, mainstream media has become a dirty word. Trust in the media seems to decline every year. Yet we live in an era with more access than ever to high-quality journalism. To discuss the importance of conservative media, we’ll be joined by Western Standard Opinion Editor, Nigel Hannaford.
Nigel managed Prime Minister Harper’s speechwriting department for six years. Before that he spent 10 years on the Calgary Herald editorial board, and before that another 24 years writing, editing and finally managing newspapers, all for Conrad Black.
Nigel will be joined by the Honourable Jeremy Nixon, who served as the UCP MLA for Calgary Klein from 2019 to 2023. Guests will have the opportunity to hear from Nigel and Jeremy and ask them questions. Tickets for this private event are $25, and there will be a cash bar. There is ample free parking available.
