Crime down in Alberta thanks to United Conservative action

News-Posts-600x300-Crime

Alberta families are safer today because United Conservatives are taking action on crime.

The latest Statistics Canada report shows crime in Alberta dropped nine percent in 2024. That is more than double the national decline of four percent. Both the crime rate and the crime severity index fell, proving that our approach is working.

Property crime and vehicle theft were down eight and nine percent. Alberta also recorded the lowest increase in crime rate of any province, six times lower than the national average.

This progress is the result of deliberate choices. United Conservatives have backed police with the resources they need, invested in frontline enforcement, and supported tough measures against organized crime, drug houses, and repeat offenders. Alberta Sheriffs and specialized police units are helping shut down criminal operations, apprehend fugitives, and keep rural and urban communities safe.

While crime is going down here at home, Ottawa continues to fail Canadians with broken bail policies that let violent repeat offenders walk free. United Conservatives will keep pressing Ottawa to fix this national problem.

The message is clear. When United Conservatives invest in public safety and stand with law enforcement, communities get safer and Albertans have greater peace of mind.
