WHEREAS bail laws are the responsibility of the federal government, and the Liberal catch-and-release system continues to put violent, repeat offenders back on our streets;

AND WHEREAS this failed approach is a betrayal of victims, their families, and every law-abiding Albertan, including the hardworking police officers tasked with keeping our communities safe;

AND WHEREAS Ottawa’s reckless policies allow violent criminals to walk free within hours, contributing to a 37% increase in violent crime nationally, leaving communities to live in fear;

AND WHEREAS provinces like Alberta are being forced to clean up the consequences of Ottawa’s inaction;

THEREFORE, WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, in defense of Alberta’s families, communities, and front-line law enforcement, hereby demand that the Ottawa Liberals immediately end their dangerous catch-and-release bail system and restore common-sense public safety measures.
