Scott Cyr serves as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Bonnyville-Cold Lake-St. Paul and the Parliamentary Secretary for Transportation and Strategic Development. Elected to his current term on May 29, 2023, he brings a proven track record of leadership in both the private and public sectors.
A lifelong resident of northern Alberta, Scott learned the value of hard work from his parents, a mechanic and a bookkeeper. He earned a Bachelor of Management with a double major in accounting and finance from the University of Lethbridge. Alongside his wife, Megan, he built a Cold Lake accounting practice from the ground up, growing it into one of the largest firms in the Lakeland region.
Scott was first elected as the MLA for Bonnyville-Cold Lake in 2015. During his first term, he championed legislation to protect victims of the non-consensual distribution of intimate images. After stepping back to spend time with his daughters, Amelia and Charlotte, and working as a Senior Accounting Manager, he returned to public service to continue delivering positive results for his community.
