Jason Nixon serves as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre and the President of Treasury Board and Minister of Finance. First elected in 2015 and re-elected in 2019 and 2023, he continues to be a strong rural voice in Edmonton, ensuring conservative values are represented in government.
Before entering politics, Jason was a successful entrepreneur and an Executive Director at The Mustard Seed, where he spent several years running an addictions treatment facility. He is a proud rural Albertan, husband, and father.
During his time in government, Jason has held several key portfolios, previously serving as the Minister of Assisted Living and Social Services, the Minister of Environment, and Government House Leader. A dedicated advocate for his region, he has fought tirelessly for his constituents by securing significant life-improving infrastructure, expanding school choice for families, and delivering essential health care facility expansions.
